Miyagi Gokoku Shrine, located in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, was founded on the ruins of the Aoba Castle (Aoba Castle) Honmaru on Mt. Aoba. It enshrines the heroic spirits of local heroes and is cherished by many visitors as a symbol of Sendai City, praying for the peace and safety of the country and the local community.
Furthermore, it is said that Date Masamune, wishing for the development of Sendai City, connected six shrines within the city to form a hexagram (Star of David), which signifies warding off evil and inviting good fortune.
