Vintage Saks Fifth Avenue Florentine Leather Jewelry Box | Italy | Floral Velvet

Offered is a vintage Saks Fifth Avenue Florentine jewelry box, handcrafted in Italy and dating to approximately the 1940s–1950s.   This elegant keepsake box features a beautifully hand-painted floral and butterfly motif on a crackled red lacquer-style lid, complemented by a richly lined red velvet interior with multiple compartments and ring slots.   The genuine leather exterior has developed an authentic, heavily distressed patina over decades, giving the piece exceptional vintage character. A wonderful decorative accent for a vanity or dresser and an increasingly collectible example of mid-century Florentine craftsmanship.  Condition: The exterior leather shows heavy age-related wear and patina consistent with its vintage age. Interior remains clean and attractive. The hinge, velvet, silk, and box are all structurally sound and the box is solid. Key is not included.
